In an in-house/ full-time capacity, Rachel Bassini has run strategy and operations within the sectors of real estate, urban development & economics, travel & hospitality, and B2B software with Fortune 500 customers across all industries. As the first business hire at a then nascent start-up, Rachel gained functional area expertise across all areas of the business by standing up the functions of sales, marketing, customer success, FP&A, and product, eventually hiring and training leaders of each area and working as their partner to evolve their strategy and operations over 5 years, as the company experienced exponential growth, entered new markets, and transformed their product.
As a consultant, through the founding and expansion of Grow Sharp Consulting, Rachel's clients' sectors have included B2B SaaS, B2C applications, marketplaces, real estate & PropTech, retail/e-commerce, renewable energy, healthcare, education & career development, and alternative mobility solutions (ie; electric bicycles, scooters, etc).Â
Unlike most management consultants, she enjoys "getting my hands dirty" as a player and implementing projects and strategic initiatives. While her role as consultant is often that of Fractional or Interim COO, her depth of experience across functional areas adds nuanced understanding of the problems specific to those areas, allowing her to address and account for those nuances in both the planning and implementation phases of engagements.
